This forum started for me to have a place to store info I find around the web, so many times I would go back to a website for info in my bookmarks only to find that the site was gone, so I created this forum to save that info on my own site. Hope it helps you find some useful information. I DO NOT claim any of the info on the forum to be my own. Credit is given when possible. All use of any information is at your own risk. You MUST be registered to view The Herbal Apothecary. This is to stop spammers, none of your information is ever sold or given to anyone else. Only the admin (Lady of the Forest) has access to this information. We may rarely (1 or 2 times a year) send an email to the address you provide to let you know about updates to the site.

When accessing The Herbal Apothecary we do have some rules to be followed before using any of the historic or traditional information we share.

MAKE SURE YOU KNOW YOUR PLANTS before trying any wild food! Study your plant books and ask your local CO-OP or professional if you need more info or help in identifying plants!
Understand that anyone can have a different reaction to different natural products/plants and that just because they are natural does not mean that it is safe and you may be allergic or have a reaction to a plant or food.
**Disclaimer** We are not doctors and none of this information should be taken as replacement for regular doctor care. With regard to the traditional/historic recipes and use threads, they are just that, historic information and not to be considered safe for use. We do not in any way practice medicine here, nor do more than recommend an herb which has been traditionally used in a certain way, and which we have knowledge of. Herbals are no substitute for regular medical care by a licensed practitioner, and we do recommend regular visits.
An allergy can occur to any herb. Be responsible, know the herb, or get to know it and test it, prior to making it regular part of your diet or care.
